The Center for Environmental Certification and Ecolabelling of the All-Ukrainian NGO "Living Planet" supports the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

We recognise Type I environmental certification and ecolabelling in accordance with ISO 14024 as a transparent and reliable market-based instrument supporting sustainable consumption and production, the circular economy, and the implementation of Ukraine's environmental policy.

Our primary goal is to provide competent and impartial third-party conformity assessment against the environmental criteria of the "Green Crane" ecolabelling program, providing reliable information on the environmental performance of products from a life cycle perspective.

Our objectives

Our key objectives are to:

  • maintain the "Green Crane" ecolabelling program in accordance with the principles and procedures of ISO 14024;
  • maintain compliance with the accreditation requirements of ISO/IEC 17065 for bodies certifying products, processes and services;
  • ensure a high level of professional competence in certification activities;
  • strengthen public and stakeholder confidence in our activities and in Type I ecolabelling;
  • support the development of the market for environmentally preferable products;
  • maintain the credibility and international standing of the "Green Crane" ecolabelling program and its conformity assessment system;

We continually improve our management system using risk-based and process approaches. Management is responsible for its effectiveness and for ensuring that the resources necessary to maintain competence, impartiality and consistent certification activities are available.
